The Roland 6000007921 ASSY, CAP TOP (CG2266) is the original capping station cap top for ER-641, ER-642 and XP-640 printers. When the carriage parks, the cap top seals over the printhead to prevent ink from drying out, and works with the pump to perform cleaning and maintenance purges. A worn or cracked cap loses vacuum, which shows up as nozzle dropouts, failed cleanings and dried ink around the head.
This is a genuine Roland DG part. Part number 6000007921 replaces the earlier 6000007124 and 6000007677 caps.
