Description
Overview
The VersaSTUDIO BN-20A is Roland DG’s compact desktop print & cut machine — the entry point to the same technology used in Roland’s production TrueVIS series. It prints up to 1,440 dpi and automatically contour-cuts on roll media up to 20 inches (515 mm) wide, making it a common choice for starting a t-shirt, sticker, label and poster graphics business from a desktop.
Beyond regular graphics, the BN-20A produces heat-transfer graphics for t-shirts, jerseys, hoodies and bags, die-cut labels and decals, posters, vehicle and window graphics — all on one machine.

BN-20A vs BN-20
The BN-20A uses the same 20-inch print & cut platform as the BN-20 but runs a 4-channel CMYK ink set only — it does not support the BN-20’s metallic and white ECO-SOL MAX ink options. For most sticker, transfer and poster work CMYK covers the need, at a lower machine and running cost.
FAQ
Can the BN-20A print on t-shirts directly?
No — it prints on media, not directly on fabric. You print on heat-transfer media, then press the transfer onto t-shirts, hoodies or bags with a heat press. This is the standard BN-20A t-shirt workflow.
What ink does the BN-20A use?
Roland ECO-SOL MAX 2 in 220 ml cartridges, CMYK (four colours). It does not use metallic or white ink — those are BN-20 features.
What can I produce with it?
Die-cut stickers and labels, t-shirt and apparel heat transfers, posters, window and vehicle graphics, and prints on canvas or coated media up to 20 inches wide.
Is software included?
Yes. VersaWorks 6 RIP (Harlequin engine, 64-bit processing) and Roland DG OnSupport are included, with a one-year trouble-free warranty upon registration.
How is the machine shipped?
Ships by freight on a pallet; shipping is quoted per destination. Inks, blades and spare parts for the BN-20A ship worldwide in 2–7 working days.
